Who is Promoting a Healthier Africa?
Promoting a Healthier Africa (PAHA) is a private, nonprofit, community -based organization (NGO). It has a 501 (c)(3) status, that endeavors to promote health in rural Africa. PAHA believes that the water condition is unsafe in Africa, housing condition is sub-standard, and women health needs to be improved especially in rural areas. The organization’s mission is to promote health in rural Africa, by providing access to clean potable water to all, improving on the housing standards and promoting women health to African villagers.
PAHA was formed in 2016 by four qualified members, who care about promoting health of low-income individuals on the continent of Africa. These individuals are multi-dimensional in education and employment construct. The members entail a Health Educator, Registered Nurse, Architect and constructor, and a local government leader. Each one plays a prominent role in the facilitation the project goal. The future plans for Promoting a Healthier Africa, are to implement similar program in various parts of Africa if we receive enough funding.
Our mission is to promote health in the rural areas of Africa by improving on housing standards of low- income individuals and providing access to clean safe water to all. After assessing the challenges teenage girls face when they reach puberty and the infections postpartum mothers suffer after birth, we added another program.’The The dignity of our Girls and the Health of Postpartum Mothers Matters!’
Our vision is to have communities with decent housing, access to clean water, improved women health and good hygienic conditions in rural Africa.
